Chapter Two

The concept of patriotism and nationality

During and after the times of the Companions and the Righteous Caliphs, the process of migration continued in many nations in general and among the Muslims in particular. The fact that Tariq ibn Ziyad set fire to the ships of himself and his companions as soon as he set foot on the land of Andalusia proves that for a Muslim:

Every country is the land of God

Therefore, if the concept of limited patriotism had existed in Islam as a religious basis, the Companions would not have set out from Makkah first and secondly from Madinah to proclaim the true religion in different parts of the world and to uphold the true religion. The migration of Jews from the four corners of the globe to the land of Palestine and the transfer of population as a result of the partition of Pak-India also provide clear evidence of the negation of the ideology of patriotism.

If patriotism had taken precedence over migration in Islam and the Holy Prophet (sws) had lived in Makkah, his birthplace, then the Muslim Ummah would have been confined to one region and the truth would not have been revealed to them. That;

Beyond the stars, there are others.

Migration is undoubtedly a stepping stone to the attainment of human dignity and a means to an end. In the present scientific age, the impetus for the conquest of the universe and the desire to find new settlements and deserts is the realization of the growing needs of human settlement. Otherwise, if a person gets entangled in the cycle of patriotism and confines himself to his present abode, then his life passes like a bull of a crusher. He would not have been aware of the developments and necessities of different countries and nations and would have been blocked in the way of his own development.

It is not difficult to draw the natural conclusion from these observations that there is no strict ideology of specific patriotism in Islam. On the contrary, wherever his followers can enjoy the freedom to live their lives in the light of God and the Holy Prophet (sws), that is their homeland. Under the circumstances, migration is a welcome step and has the theoretical and practical support of the religion of Islam. What has the poet of the East [Allama Iqbal] said in this regard?

Uniquely, it was built by an Arab architect

Without the siege of our nation, there is no unity

Now analyze the ideology of nationalism and its tendencies in Islam. Which influences the compilation of this book from a religious point of view. Our initiative and boldness is based first of all on the argument that the real Creator Himself sent different prophets and messengers to different nations at different times and individually. If the promotion of the doctrine of nationalism were against the will of Ezi, then the same "nation of Adam" would have been created for all beings and Hazrat Noah, Hazrat Yaqub, Hazrat Yusuf, Hazrat Sulaiman, Hazrat Dawood, Hazrat Musa, Hazrat Isa [peace be upon All] and himself Sarwar Du'alam Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) [Fida Abi and Ami] would not have been sent to separate regions and nations. And different heavenly books and scriptures would not have been revealed by the Almighty for the betterment of different nations in different periods.
