Hast-o-Bood Part-40

Chapter Six
Land of Gujarat, Punjab Province, Greece

On the one hand, this land was the abode of Zinda Dalan Punjab, on the other hand, its soil was full of beauty and colorful personality of the people with good character, in which the color of loyalty was created. The attributes of Darfatgi and Efa-e-Ahd added the story of Sohni Mahiwal to the famous tales of love and affection, which brought fame to the land of Gujarat.

At that time the industry of pottery, leather making, hookah making, wood work was at its peak. Therefore, Gujarat was famous for its variety of colors and abundance of wheat production. Therefore, where the needy people from all over the district came here and there and from the adjoining area of Jammu and Kashmir, Kotli Mangaralan, the beacon of the Rajput Mangaral family, Rai Abdul Hakim also came to the state, disturbed by the prostitutes He moved to Gujarat in a state of disarray and he and his descendants remained here permanently.

It may be recalled that at that time the district of Gujarat was a part of the Sikh government and like the Sikh chiefs, the aristocrats and government officials here, being Rajputs, used to call themselves Mian instead of Raja or Rai. For this reason, the descendants of Rai Abdul Hakim started calling themselves Mian even before they came to power here. And this was the first change that the newcomers of Gujarat [Punjab Province] felt after emigrating from their homeland;

According to a tradition, [1] during the reign of the late Emperor Nooruddin Jahangir, 22 hill Rajput princes were given the title of "Mian" when they were sent as hostages to the Mughal court. In a way, it was his honor. This address was assigned so that his rulers would remain loyal to the former Mughal government. The hill chiefs were first given the title of "Mian" during the reign of Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar. And so gradually the title was used as a title among the descendants of these mountain rulers. It is possible that following this tradition, the former Mangral Sardar used to call himself Mian. But the observation of the establishment of the state during the authorship negates this fact. Because no high ranking person of Sahansa Valley or any Mangral Rajput of Mirpur in particular or any of the breathers of this nation in general called himself Mian. And even today all the Mangrals who are present in the state of Azad Kashmir in the thousands or even millions call themselves "Raja". Therefore, the above hypothesis does not apply to the state residents of the Mangral nation.
