Arrival and residence of Rajput Mangral in Gujarat



Mian Noor Khan had moved to Gujarat in the year 1845 in view of the days of the British and the uncertainties in the Sikh court. In addition to the income from the jagir, he received a monthly pension of Rs. 50 from the Sikh court. He continued to support himself and his family.


Mian Rasool Bakhsh also continued to live with his sons and family members and in the same way all the members of the family living in Mohalla Chabakswaran continued to share each other's sorrows and joys till Mian Rasool Bakhsh passed away. He left behind four sons, Mian Amir Bakhsh, Mian Wazir Bakhsh, Mian Murad Ali and Mian Hussain Bakhsh, and the only daughter of the woman who was married to Mian Nabi Bakhsh.


Mian Noro Khan also passed away on October 29, 1877, shortly after his brother. His estate was relinquished in his lifetime on August 15, 1855 by the decree of the Chief Commissioner of Punjab, Majriya, after the Mouza Banth Sikh administration. Now on his death Deputy Commissioner Gujarat Colonel. In his report dated 17th January, 1878, J. Parson summed up the restoration of the estate of the deceased sons as follows:


Mian Noro Khan dug a well in his estate, planted trees, built a mosque. He also built a dara for the comfort of travelers. And now that his children, who are members of an honorable and noble family, Mian Elahi Bakhsh, Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, Mian Nabi Bakhsh and Mian Gilani Bakhsh, in addition to their father's affection, their monthly pension amount is Rs. For the upbringing and livelihood of the members of this close and honorable family, the area was transferred and rehabilitated by the blessed Sikh government and the restored rights of the late Mian Noor Khan in the name of his descendants.
